Killing of Mother does not arise but the faith on the father is the emphasis here.He obeyed his father, this means that his uncoditional lover towards his father and mother. One should notice that here he never questioned his father why i should do it but killed her and others. The faith on his father guided him to the wish of re-incarnating them all again.
Secoundly the revenge is not the criteria with respect to the killing the Kshatriyas.But the killing of the EGO of the Khatriyas, just by showing them the caste is not the criteria but the DIVINE JUSTICE, means that on can just justfy with the help of the knowledge, irrespective of the caste and the creed of any person. Every person (is a per-son) is an individual soul not the physical body. I think you might have heard of the birth of vyasa maharshi and even valmiki maharshi. There is no discremination of nature just human has created and living in the creation of the discremination.
And lastly bringing back of the life of Jamadagni is, the things that are being to be done by Jamadagni were may be copleted and Jamadagni is a meture soul who can if willed had his life back. The controry is that the death of Jamadagni is the reason for removal of the crucked and cruel people (here the Khatriyas who are very curel for the mankind).
